on the way home, i was listening to ksbj and i heard this beatiful song wtih awesome lyrics

Newsong
The Christmas Shoes

It was almost Christmas time, there I stood in another line
Tryin' to buy that last gift or two, not really in the Christmas mood
Standing right in front of me was a little boy waiting anxiously
Pacing 'round like little boys do
And in his hands he held a pair of shoes

His clothes were worn and old, he was dirty from head to toe
And when it came his time to pay
I couldn't believe what I heard him say

Chorus:
Sir, I want to buy these shoes for my Mama, please
It's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size
Could you hurry, sir, Daddy says there's not much time
You see she's been sick for quite a while
And I know these shoes would make her smile
And I want her to look beautiful if Mama meets Jesus tonight

He counted pennies for what seemed like years
Then the cashier said, "Son, there's not enough here"
He searched his pockets frantically
Then he turned and he looked at me
He said Mama made Christmas good at our house
Though most years she just did without
Tell me Sir, what am I going to do,
Somehow I've got to buy her these Christmas shoes

So I laid the money down, I just had to help him out
I'll never forget the look on his face when he said
Mama's gonna look so great

Sir, I want to buy these shoes for my Mama, please
It's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size
Could you hurry, sir, Daddy says there's not much time
You see she's been sick for quite a while
And I know these shoes would make her smile
And I want her to look beautiful if Mama meets Jesus tonight

Bridge:
I knew I'd caught a glimpse of heaven's love
As he thanked me and ran out
I knew that God had sent that little boy
To remind me just what Christmas is all about

Ahh, rejection. So we meet again.

Sometimes, its so hard not to question God about things like this. Click here for my pure nard explanation about this (it's in the last 3 paragraphs).

Ok, so yesterday I got in a "heated discussion" with my parents about whether or not I should volunteer today (Saturday) from 10-4:30. Seven hours at a hospital just didn't appeal to them that much, and that I should have my priorities straight. True, college apps and finals are important, but I also have duties at Texas Children's Hospital that I have to carry out, duties that shouldn't be compromised every single time I have to do something outside of volunteering, and my parents just don't seem to understand that. So, I went in today slightly depressed *gasp* and saw Stephanie *gasp again* for the first time volunteering there (go music cart!). After punching in, I discover beautiful gifts of appreciation sitting on a table for volunteers . From 10-12 I volunteered at the Pathology Lab, 12-1 was lunch, and 1-4:30 was Junior Council stuff. I don't really care about what my parents think about this matter, I enjoy volunteering a lot. I don't care if my seven hours at the hospital will bite me in the butt when finals arrive, volunteering just makes me feel good about myself. I'd much rather volunteer that study. From 1-4:30, I helped make bags to give out during Christmas time. We decorated white bags with pictures and "happy holidays", and put a beanie baby and some stickers in each. I'm sure the patients would enjoy this immensely, and that's probably why I enjoy volunteering so much. I want to make people happy, and it makes me happy to see them happy.

So I haven't studied for finals or finished my college apps. I think I should get started, don't you??

Welcome to a special Weekend edition of the Justin Chronicles on a Wednesday. Today's cover story:

Making his first appearance to the Bellaire basketball courts this afternoon, a local Asian teen made an unexpected early exit after hurting himself. He lay on the court motionless for 10 seconds before getting up and hobbling to the sidelines. He was life-flighted via helicopter to his home, where he is recovering. No word yet of the teen's name nor his condition, but it is suspected that this youth collapsed on the court and suffered a twisted ankle, a lowered self-esteem, and ovarian cancer.

Did you know THAT…

The processional that the choir sang was written by a musical genius. Steven White, an old friend of choir director Mr. Marshall, wrote the work in a mere eight hours. EIGHT HOURS!!! All parts, all instruments, EVERYTHING, in eight hours as a college student twenty years ago. This masterpiece has never been published, and because there is no recording of it, Steven White hasn't received anything for this music. With the CD of the performance, music publishers will finally hear what awesome music this is.

NOW YOU KNOW!!!

I know we are only 3 days into this week, and I'm already looking forward to the end. On Sunday, I was at church from the morning all the way to 7 p.m. Amount of work done = 0. Then, Monday afterschool, from 6:30 - 9:00, Bellaire choir practice. Got home, did 0 amount of work. Today, took a gov test (sort of hard), geo 2 test (sort of hard), and barely scraped in a portfolio project (I really am way too lazy). Bummed around school until 4:45 playing basketball and doing nothing. Went home to eat dinner and catch a quick shower, then 5:45 hightailed it to Willow Meadows for orchestra prep. The orchestra/choir concert went pretty well, except for the massively horrible procession of the choir. I was stomach was flipping inside and out. *shudders* On a good note, the orchestra did a very decent job. Congrats to the soloist who was without her deserved credit in the concert program Olivia. You're getting your credit here.

On a random note, chilled grape juice spiked with sprite tastes surprisingly refreshing. You got your fizz, you got your lemon-lime, you got your purple grape color, AND you get your daily intake of vitamin C. That is a winning combination for a drink: Delicious and Nutritious. <------Try saying THAT three times fast.

***NOTICE***: Jacket Lost. Blue article of clothing that keeps me very warm.

Oh wait….this just in…

***NOTICE***: Jacket found. Very odd tags on the front. Can only belong to one person.

We at Justin® would like to give a big thanks to those who saw this lone jacket, and had compassion for it, for it was like a Zerg without its Overlord, or like a sheep without its shepherd.

(or like a Dino with its Rose) <----Just playing, of course. There's a reason this site is "justinianthegoofy"

Exclusive thanks for Natasha for storing this jacket in her locker. THANK YOU!

Hello, welcome to the Wednesday edition of the Justin Chronicles. Today's top story:

The server crash that devastated the morning computer classes on Tuesday has been fixed. Said Justin, "I am so thankful. Yesterday was the scariest moment in my life. With no internet connection and no computer games, I was slipping into shock. My life was flashing before my eyes right before I fell unconcious and asleep. Luckily, the bell saved me from extra torture." According to officials, the improvements to the server were made to make the already blazing T1 connection even faster. We at the Chronicle suspect that teacher Jimmy Newland is downloading masses of illegal content, and the blazing connection simply was blazing enough for him. More on this tomorrow.

In government news, Mr. Penner "taught" most of the day with extreme discolouration around his eyes. He claims that he "allowed" some 2nd period students to add color around his eyes. But we all know what's really going on. Ever since he showed off his masculine muscles to 6th period a month ago, he has been in a terrible slump. Losing various arm wrestling matches, including one to Omri just yesterday, Mr. Penner has lost confidence in himself to the point that even GIRLS overpowered him and gave him two black eyes.

Heated debate ensued among students near lockers outside the library. Topics include 1) Who has the best 4 pack? 2) What are the correct lyrics to elementary school patty-cake games? 3) Are Dino and Rose setting off false fire alarms??
We believe that 4, 6, and 8 packs are useless, non-economical standards of society. Beer kegs all the way. (Well, maybe not beer, but more power to kegs in general)

WE value our readers at the chronicle. Thank you.

Ok, so I finally fixed the links stuff. Feel free to navigate around.

Church was pretty good, as usual. I just hope I can manage my time enough between Christmas Pageant stuff and school stuff. Afterward, finally finished up the government survey thing. I think I counted a series of 17 failed calls in a row before someone was willing to answer a survey. Took a while to get all 10 surveys done.

I’m hungry, looks like its off to dinner for me.

Oh wait….UT stuff. Never mind then, dinner can wait.
This music is too cool =)
